Terms of Service

Welcome to Polhr! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Polhr mobile application and services. By using Polhr, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Polhr, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Polhr.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 12 years old to use Polhr. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Your Account

Account Creation:

• You may create an account anonymously or with an email address
• You're responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You agree to provide accurate information

Account Termination:

• You can delete your account anytime in the app settings
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Upon termination, your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• ❌ Post hateful, harassing, threatening, or discriminatory content
• ❌ Impersonate others or create fake accounts
• ❌ Spam, manipulate votes, or abuse the system
• ❌ Share illegal, explicit, or harmful content
• ❌ Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, or compromise the app
• ❌ Scrape, collect, or harvest user data
• ❌ Use bots or automated systems to vote

You agree TO:

• ✅ Be respectful and civil in your interactions
• ✅ Vote honestly based on your actual opinions
• ✅ Report content that violates these Terms
• ✅ Respect other users' privacy

5. Content and Ownership

Your Content:

• You own your votes and reasoning/comments
• By posting content, you grant Polhr a license to use, display, and distribute it within the app
• You can delete your content anytime

Polhr's Content:

• Polhr owns the app, questions, AI agents, and all related intellectual property
• You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our content without permission

6. AI-Generated Content

Polhr uses AI to:

• Generate your Digital Twin based on your voting patterns
• Provide AI agent perspectives on questions
• Analyze voting trends and patterns

Important: AI-generated content (including your Digital Twin's predictions) is for entertainment and informational purposes only. It should not be considered as professional advice or a definitive representation of your views.

7. Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

• Review and remove content that violates these Terms
• Suspend or ban users who repeatedly violate our policies
• Modify or discontinue any feature of Polhr

We'll try to notify you before taking action, but we may act immediately for severe violations.

8. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

AS-IS Service:

Polhr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure.

No Liability:

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Polhr and its founders are not liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or reputation
• Damages resulting from your use of the app
• Accuracy of AI predictions or Digital Twin behavior

Maximum Liability:

If we are found liable for anything, our total liability is limited to $100 USD.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold harmless Polhr from any claims, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your content or conduct on Polhr
• Your violation of any third-party rights

10. Changes to Service

We may:

• Add, modify, or remove features
• Change pricing (with notice for paid features)
• Discontinue Polhr entirely (we hope not!)

We'll try to notify you of significant changes, but continued use of Polhr means you accept the changes.

11. Free Service

Polhr is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future, but:

• Core voting and comparison features will remain free
• You'll be notified before any paid features launch
• You can choose whether to purchase

12. Third-Party Services

Polhr may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., sharing to social media). We're not responsible for:

• The content or practices of third-party services
• Any transactions between you and third parties

13. Dispute Resolution

Informal Resolution:

If you have a dispute, please contact us first at support@polhr.app. We'll try to resolve it informally.

Arbitration:

If we can't resolve the dispute informally, you agree to binding arbitration instead of court. Arbitration is faster and cheaper than litigation.

No Class Actions:

You agree to resolve disputes individually, not as part of a class action.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [Your State], United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you by:

• Posting the updated Terms here
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Notifying you in the app for material changes

Your continued use after changes means you accept the new Terms.

16. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Polhr.
